The former cannery is located along the waterfront in Downtown Eastport and is the site of a proposed development by Dirigamus,
LLC.

Fill along the shore was characterized using an excavator. Test borings were also completed to sample and test soil and groundwater.
Paint outside and inside the building was tested for possible lead. Characterization also included an asbestos inspection.
